Finally settled on a LG Premier Pro Plus that came with Android 9.0 but within an hour of use updated to Android 10. Had one and it had issues with calls and the proximity sensor, so got another one, (Amazon) and after updating my info into it and activating it, had the same issues with phone not showing dial pad numbers when brought back down from ear. I bought 2 of these K31 Rebel Tracfones from Amazon. I already Activated the LG (new ) and the message is on the old (deactivated) phone. The app doesn't have a Manage Messages option. Is there a way to do that? Or do I have to transfer all the messages? The Google Account backup/restore doesn't work (as indicated above). I forgot that I have a notification on my old phone that has all the particulars for an upcoming appointment (date/time/location/id code/status code etc) Message app use to receive text such as prescription status and appointment details. I was able to transfer the Contacts to the LG and even special ringtones like “Maple Street Rag” already added to some of the contacts, transferred over. The manage contacts and backup to SD card worked beautifully. Tried this method 2 more times using different Google Accounts, each time erasing the previous account, but nothing transferred.Ģ. I used the Samsung (old) phone to access Google went to the account and nothing was there. Set up Google account A on the old device went through all the motions including “backup now” but nothing ended up in the Google account. Put the same microSD card into the LG, bring up the Contacts, select Manage Contacts, and select Restore (from the. It will create a file with the extension ".vcf", name it something like Contacts-mm-dd-yyyy.vcf. Bring up the Contact list on the Samsung, select Manage Contacts and back up your contacts to a microSD card. Then on the LG, sign into the same Google account, then go to Settings->Accounts-> select the Google account and select Sync (maybe from the 3 dots in the upper right corner) to sync the backed up data to your LG.Ģ. On the Samsung, go into Settings->Backup and set it to backup your contacts, calendar, apps, etc to your Google account. If you just want to transfer the Contacts, there are several ways to do it:ġ. How long would I have to use the new phone before I can transfer the days/time/ etc. On that subject, can I transfer the service days/minutes/messages/data back to the Samsung if I succeed in activating the LG? (Attempted this procedure several times).Īll I want to do is transfer the Contacts (and Contact Photos/Ringtones if possible) so I can use the LG phone's service days/minutes/messages/data. Consequently the transfer was incomplete. Only selected Contacts to transfer, used the same WiFi (home modem) but the LG phone (Receiver) kept claiming that the connection was lost after a few minutes. Only problem is that screen 6 doesn't appear so there is no “Receiver” function on the new LG phone (both the Samsung/LG indicated “Senders”.)Īnyway, did as you suggested and tried the TF Transfer app. ![]() only LG to LG, but this link How to Transfer Data to your New LG Phone with LG Mobile Switch | LG USA Support I initially thought that the LG Mobile transfer was brand specific too, i.e. ![]() In your case, use the TF Transfer Wizard app which is not brand-dependent.
